The Santal of Nepal

The Santal of Nepal, numbering approximately 55,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Austroasiatic-speaking Munda tribal group indigenous to the Indian subcontinent and can also be known as Santal, Sainti, Sonthal, Sangtal, Sandal, Sentali, Santhali, Santhal, Satar. They are an Indigenous people, in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Santhali.
