The Shwe Deang of China, numbering approximately 8,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Mon-Khmer ethnic minority indigenous to the Pa Laung zone in the Shan state of Myanmar . They are an Diaspora people, in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Mahayana. They primarily speak Palaung, Shwe.
