The Purik of China

The Purik of China, numbering approximately 850 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small, poorly documented extension of the broader Purigpa people, a Tibetan-origin community historically centered in the Kargil region of the Indian-controlled portion of Ladakh. and can also be known as Purigpa, Purig-Pa. They are an Diaspora people in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Purig and their primary religion is Shia Islam.
