They are a dialect subgroup of the Naba-speaking Lisi people of Chad They are an Indigenous people, in the Guera-Naba of Chad people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Naba.
