They are an indigenous community of Ethiopia; a dialect subgroup of Gumuz (guk) They are an Indigenous people, in the Nilotic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Orthodox. They primarily speak Gumuz.
