They are an indigenous community of Cameroon; a dialect subgroup of Meta’ (mgo) and can also be known as Widekum, Moghamo, Meta. They are an Indigenous people, in the Bantu, Cameroon-Bamileke people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Folk. They primarily speak Meta’.
