They are an indigenous community of Democratic Republic of the Congo and can also be known as Baya Ngbaka, Ngbaka-Gbaya. They are an Diaspora people, in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Ngbaka.
