They are an ethnolinguistic community of Sudanic origins that is indigenous to the Republic of the Congo and can also be known as Ngbandi-Ngiri, Ngwili. They are an Indigenous people, in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Ngbandi, Southern.
