The Northern Teke of Gabon

The Northern Teke of Gabon, numbering approximately 142,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Bantu people whose Anziku, or Tio, kingdom rivaled the Kingdom of Kongo from the fourteenth century until becoming a French protectorate in 1883, with a minority settled in Gabon's Haut-Ogooue province. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Teke-Tege is their primary language.
