They are an ethnolinguistic community of Gabon, Ngounie province: Mimongo and Iboundji area and can also be known as Masangu, Yisangou, Shango, Yisangu. They are an Indigenous people, in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Sangu (Gabon).
