They are an ethnic group indigenous to southeastern Nigeria and southwest Cameroon They are an Indigenous people, in the Benue people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak Ejagham.
