They are a West African ethnic group indigenous to the Senegambian region and can also be known as Naxula, Baxula. They are an Indigenous people, in the Atlantic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Mankanya.
