The Aweer of Kenya, numbering approximately 10,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are one of the few non-Somali peoples living today in Somalia. They are an Indigenous people, in the Khoisan people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Aweer.
