They are an ethnolinguistic community of Brazil and can also be known as Tenetehar, Guazazzara, Tenetehar (Autonym), Tenetehara, Guajajára, Tenetehar (SELF), Tenetehára. They are an Indigenous people, in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Guajajára.
