They are an indigenous community of Brazil and can also be known as Ye'cuana, Pawana, De'cuana, Yekuana, Mayongong, Ye'kuana, Makiritare, Maquiritai, Cun, So'to, Soto, Mayongong, Yecuana, Maiongong, Maquiritare. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Maquiritari.
