They are an ethnolinguistic community of Brazil and can also be known as Maku, Anodöub, Maku-Nadëb, Maku-Nadëb, Nadëb (Autonym), Nadëb (SELF), Kabari, Kabori, Nadöbö, Makunadöbö, Makú Nadëb, Xiriwa. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Nadëb.
