They are one of three groups of Nambiquara, who live in western Mato Grosso and southern Rondonia, Brazil and can also be known as Southern Nambiquara, Wasusu, Mamaindê, Kithaulu, Alaketesu, Wikisu, Alantesu, Sawentesu Negarotê, Nambiquara, Southern, Manduka, Nhambiquara, Wakalitesu, Latundê, Sarané, Tawandê Hahaintesu, Nambikwara, Sarare, Nambiquara, Halotesu, Anunsu, Sabanê. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Nambikuára, Southern.
