They are an ethnolinguistic community of Brazil and can also be known as Suruí do Jiparaná, Paíter (Autonym), Paiter, Paíter (SELF), Suruí de Rondônia, Surui Paiter, Paiter. They are an Indigenous people, in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Suruí.
