The Mayoruna of Peru, numbering approximately 1,700 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an indigenous people who live in swamps and jungles in the state of Amazonas, Brazil and can also be known as Maxuruna, Maxirona, Mayuzuna, Majuruna, Matsé (SELF), Matsé (Autonym), Mayiruna, Matsés, Magirona. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Matses.
