The Dargin of Russian Federation, numbering approximately 420,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a central subgroup of the Dargin people of Dagestan, known historically for their federation of mountain communities centered on Akusha, with strong traditions of local self-rule, Islamic culture, and highland life in the Caucasus. They are an Indigenous people in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Dargwa and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
