They are a Lezgin sub-ethnic group of northern Azerbaijan and southern Dagestan and can also be known as Caxur. They are an Diaspora people, in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Tsakhur.
