They are a diaspora community of Southern Azerbaijanis in Türkiye and can also be known as Northern Azerbaijani, Nothern Azerbaijani, Azeri. They are an Diaspora people, in the Azerbaijani people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Shia. They primarily speak Azerbaijani, South.
