They are a language of Uzbekistan, along the lower Amu Darya; south Aral Sea area and can also be known as Kara Kalpak, Black Hat. They are an Indigenous people, in the Kazakh people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Karakalpak.
