The Ayoquesco Zapotec of Mexico, numbering approximately 1,800 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguisic subgroup of the Zapotec, an ethnic group indigenous to the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and can also be known as Western Ejutla Zapotec, Western Ejutla Zapotec, Zapotec de Santa María Ayoquesco, Zapoteco de Santa María Ayoquesco, Western Ejutla Zapotec; Zapoteco de Santa María Ayoquesco. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
