They are an ethnolinguistic community of Mexico and can also be known as Nahuatl, Huasteca Aztec, Eastern Huasteca, Náhuatl de Tamazunchale, Náhuatl de Hidalgo, Nahuatl, Western Huasteca, Central Huasteca; Nahuatl, Náhuatl de la Huasteca; Náhuatl de Tamazunchale, Eastern Huasteca; Nahuatl, Náhuatl de la Huasteca, Nahuatl, Western Huasteca; Huasteca Aztec, Central Huasteca. They are an Indigenous people, in the Aztec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
