The Aguri of India

The Aguri of India, numbering approximately 546,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Bengali-speaking Hindu community of West Bengal and Bihar, also known as Ugra Kshatriya, who claim Kshatriya descent from Raja Man Singh's soldiers. Traditionally businessmen, most now own agricultural land or hold service jobs They are an Indigenous people, with Aguri as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bengali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Bengali.
