The Bazigar of India

The Bazigar of India, numbering approximately 521,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a traditionally nomadic community of acrobats, rope-dancers, and jugglers whose name derives from baji, meaning acrobatics. Found across northern India, many now work in agricultural labor and are recognized as a scheduled caste in several states They are an Indigenous people, with Bazigar as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Punjabi, Eastern.
