The Segidi of India, numbering approximately 12,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a community of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts, Andhra Pradesh, traditionally toddy-sellers and arrack-distillers, their name recalling scarring palm trees for sap. Agriculture and trade have replaced this occupation They are an Indigenous people, with Segidi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Telugu people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Telugu.
