The Kaikadi of India

The Kaikadi of India, numbering approximately 162,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra whose name comes from Tamil words for hand and basket, their traditional craft. Most Kaikadi are now landless daily-wage laborers employed as stonecutters. They are an Indigenous people in the Kanarese people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kaikadi and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
