The Kadar of India

The Kadar of India, numbering approximately 88,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as a small Hindu community of Bhagalpur, Godda, Dumka, and Sahibganj districts in Bihar traditionally engaged in cultivation, fishing, and day labor. The Kadar are mostly landless agricultural laborers today They are an Indigenous people, with Kadar as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Bihari people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Folk Hinduism and Angika is their primary language.
