The Omaha-Ponca Dhegiha of United States, numbering approximately 700 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Dhegiha Siouan people whose ancestors migrated west from the Atlantic coast to the Ozark Plateau before splitting from the Osage, Kansa, and Quapaw, later separating from the Ponca in South Dakota, who were forcibly removed in the 1877 Trail of Tears. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and English is their primary language.
