They are an Indigenous people of Brazil, part of the Tupi-Guarani linguistic family, living primarily in the Madeira River basin in the state of Amazonas. They are an Indigenous people, in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Tenharim.
