They are a community of mixed East Indian and African descent whose identity is rooted in their recent history on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago and can also be known as Tobagonian. They are an Diaspora people, in the Afro-Caribbean people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Protestantism. They primarily speak English.
