The Brokpa of Bhutan

The Brokpa of Bhutan, numbering approximately 6,900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic community of Bhutan, Trashigang District, Sakteng Valley east, mainly in Merak and Sakteng villages and can also be known as Dap, Mira Sagtengpa, Mera Sagtengpa, Dakpa, Meragsagstengkha, Brokpake, Sagtengpa. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Asian Buddhist people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Folk. They primarily speak Brokpake.
