The Badwa of India, numbering approximately 2,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Rajasthani community of hereditary genealogists and bards, descended from Brahmins who sang of the valor of kings and Rajput nobles at royal courts. Their name derives from preparing genealogies of the rich (bada, meaning big) They are an Indigenous people, with Badwa as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Hindi is their primary language.
