The Bargi of India, numbering approximately 16,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Hindu scheduled caste of Rajasthan who claim Rajput descent and call themselves Bargala Rajput. Once professional warriors in the army of the royal house of Bharatpur, they are now landowning agriculturists concentrated in Bharatpur and Jaipur They are an Indigenous people, with Bargi as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Braj Bhasha.
