The Pando of India

The Pando of India, numbering approximately 2,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of Surguja and Bilaspur districts in Madhya Pradesh tracing mythical descent from the Pandava of the Mahabharata. Forest produce and coarse-grain cultivation remain their main occupations. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Chhattisgarhi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
