The Bauti of India, numbering approximately 1,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste community of Odisha concentrated in Balasore district, traditionally engaged in preparing lime from shells. They are Odia-speaking Hindus who practice community endogamy and gotra exogamy. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Hinduism.
