The Kurunga of India

The Kurunga of India, numbering approximately 6,300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Balasore district, Odisha. Traditionally carpenters who also castrated bullocks and goats, today stone-cutting and daily-wage labor have grown due to landlessness. They are an Indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Odia and their primary religion is Hinduism.
