The Sabar of India

The Sabar of India, numbering approximately 6,300 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an indigenous tribal people (Adivasi) of eastern India. They are officially recognized as a Scheduled Tribe and are among the historically most marginalized forest‑dwelling communities in the region. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Bengali is their primary language.
