The Kurukkal of India

The Kurukkal of India, numbering approximately 3,400 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts, Kerala, traditionally serving in temples by making garlands and sweeping shrines. Many now work in white-collar jobs, agriculture, and business. They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Malayalam and their primary religion is Hinduism.
