They are an indigenous ethnic group of Aztec ancestry native to Mexico and can also be known as Náhuatl de Tamazunchale, Central Huasteca; Nahuatl, Western Huasteca, Eastern Huasteca, Central Huasteca, Western Huasteca; Huasteca Aztec, Náhuatl de Hidalgo, Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Náhuatl de la Huasteca, Eastern Huasteca; Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Huasteca Aztec, Náhuatl de la Huasteca; Náhuatl de Tamazunchale. They are an Diaspora people, in the Aztec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Roman Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
