The Barad of India

The Barad of India, numbering approximately 6,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste artisan community of Himachal Pradesh, traditionally landless makers of winnowing fans and reed-grass mats who also work as daily-wage laborers. They are also known as Barar, Burar or Berar, with clans resembling Rajput clan names. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Bilaspuri is their primary language.
