The Gangai of India

The Gangai of India, numbering approximately 500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Hindu community of western Assam, north Bengal, and north-eastern Bihar, the Gangai are mainly distributed in the districts of Purnia and Katihar in Bihar. Potters by occupation, they are also referred to as Kumhar or Ganesh. They are an Indigenous people, in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Surjapuri.
