The Dhyar traditionally participate and cattle-herding and agriculture They are an Indigenous people, with Dhyar / Dhiar as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Dogri.
