The Ganti Chores of India, numbering approximately 4,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Karnataka also known as Uchillians and Bhamta, whose name literally means bundle-thief in reference to a past association with theft, now sustained by casual wage labor and petty trade. They are an Indigenous people in the Kanarese people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kannada and their primary religion is Hinduism.
