They are described as a tribal subgroup of the Xingmoun people of Laos and can also be known as SingMoon LaoMai, LaoMai. They are an Indigenous people, with Xingmoun (Puoc) as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism. They primarily speak Puoc.
