The Oy Layao of Laos, numbering approximately 5,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a tribal subgroup of the Oy people of Laos and can also be known as Layao, Maeriyay. They are an Indigenous people, with Oy as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism. They primarily speak Oy.
