South Asian Peoples
Banjara refers to a cluster of related peoples distributed across western and southern India. Traditionally a nomadic tribe, today they are a more settled, trading community. The Banjara mainly speak Lambadi, part of the Rajasthani language family, but often also speak a major regional language.
